Software for DCSLIB

When setting up a new platform in dcslib/autoinstall, this is a list of
software to consider building:

This isn't really an extremely initial list, but... Anyway, here ya go:

python
possibly lsof, but pfiles might be a better way to go now
firefox, or at least mozilla
openoffice - some folks prefer it to staroffice
cping
daemon
fastfs
dovecot
klaxon
memconf/memconf2
memtst
nfswatch
rand_sleep
pretend
scsiinfo
scsiping
setrpath
traceroute
abiword
Xkernel?
Berkeley DB
some form of modern SNMP
fallback-reboot
the gnu compiler collection (gcc)
matlab?
nbench
ncurses
ocal?
rsync
samba?
a modern sendmail, but we probably should evaluate if the daemon and m4
templates are modern enough on 10 x86 first
possibly stunnel
vnc - RealVNC may have binaries, if not then TightVNC is usually an easy
build
xemacs
gvim
vsftpd
lukemftp/tnftp
mutt
ntop
ngrep
slowdown
gawk
coreutils
ngrep
rlpr
screen
strace (I did a slightly hackish port of it to sparc recently - source
or diffs available on request)
groff - also makes a good test of whether g++ is working well
ups and/or ddd - ddd preferably with compiled-in python support,
possibly xdbx and/or xxgdb as well
Xdialog
xscreensaver and/or xlockmore+xautolock
Some sort of PDF tools - perhaps evince, gpdf, xpdf or similar
ghostscript
xv, xzgv, eog, or other image viewer
evolution
one or more fvwm's - 1, 2, 95...
One or more internationalized terminal emulators
One or more tabbed terminal emulators
xcb
xvkbd

Please note: Some of these aren't compiles, but rather things to copy
precompiled binaries for, or even scripts. Also, some will turn out to
be things we already have under /usr/sfw or similar, so were the
sun-provided stuff is sufficiently usable/modern, we should not bother
duplicating. Also, a few of these aren't in sparc dcslib at this time.

Also, there'll probably be a lot of scripts in dcslib and autoinstall
that'll need to be updated for the new systype.

And, some of these may not be readily available (or compilable, as the
case may be) for solaris/x86.

Rationales for any of these available on request :)

Thanks!
